Week 1: Launch & Onboarding

Focus:
Kick off your journey by connecting with eachother via our Whatsapp and Discord community, learning about the programme, and exploring the iTwin platform.

What You’ll Do:
You’ll be introduced to the iTwin4Good programme and the iTwin platform you’ll be using throughout the programme. You’ll connect with fellow students through WhatsApp and Discord, meet your team, and start to explore this year’s challenge themes. Plus, get inspired by stories and solutions from past particiants who’ve made their mark.

Outcome:
You’ll be fully set up and ready to go - with your team assembled, your tech tools in place, and a shared mission to build something great.

Week 2: Define the Problem

Focus:
Research the issue you want to solve, looking into the needs and the impact you want to create.

What You’ll Do:
This week is all about diving deep into a real problem in your community. You’ll explore issues that matter to you and begin shaping your problem statement. You’ll also think about who’s affected, and what their needs are.

Outcome:
A clearly defined, community-focused problem statement that you understand deeply - this will help you set up the foundations for creating real impact.

Week 3: Ideate & Plan Your Solution

Focus:
Turn your problem into a possible solution using iTwin technology.

What You’ll Do:
Now it’s time to get creative. You’ll explore a range of potential solutions and choose the one that best aligns with your defined problem and the needs you’ve uncovered. You’ll start mapping out how your app will work, including the key features that will help tackle your chosen challenge. This week, you’ll also have the chance to register for a one-on-one session with an alumni mentor to help strengthen your concept and sharpen your approach.

Outcome:
A solid, well throught out intervention plan that addresses the needs you have identified.

Week 4 & 5: Build Your Prototype

Focus:
Bring your idea to life by designing and developing your iTwin app prototype.

What You’ll Do:
Over these two weeks, you’ll roll up your sleeves and start building. Using the iTwin platform, you’ll develop the first version of your solution, test key features, and improve functionality as you go. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with Bentley Developers to help improve your iTwin app.

Outcome:
A functional prototype that shows how your idea works and the change it could create.

Week 6: Making Your Pitch

Focus:
Polish your solution and craft a powerful pitch that shows your impact.

What You’ll Do:
This final week is about bringing everything together. You’ll refine your prototype, put the finishing touches on your user experience, and start telling the story of your solution. You’ll work on a short pitch deck or video to communicate what your app does, who it helps, and why it matters.

Outcome:
A complete, compelling submission - ready for judges, finals, and the chance to make your mark.
