UNIVERSITY ADVISORS

University Advisors (UA's) form a critical component of the support network that enables student-led Enactus teams to develop and deliver community outreach projects. Your role is crucial in supporting Enactus students across your institution to become the responsible leaders of the future whilst simultaneously creating meaningful community impact through the projects they create.

This page will give you all the information you need to support you in your role as an Enactus UK & Ireland University Advisor and includes resources, links, and information chosen to support your coaching experience.

To be recognised as an Enactus team, the team must have a minimum of one Lead University Advisor (UA).

ENACTUS UK SUPPORT

UA Support Sessions - Monthly

Enactus UK & Ireland provides a monthly support and networking session for all UA's to join. The sessions will follow the Enactus calendar and be themed accordingly. The sessions are an opportunity to learn, connect, and ask questions directly to Enactus UK & Ireland, UA Steering Group, and the wider UA network.

UA Summit - 2x Per Year

This is an opportunity to connect, learn, and develop in person with other UAs and Enactus UK & Ireland with an action pack agenda to set you and your team up to succeed. Typically these are held in the Autumn and Spring term.

"Tackling the problems of today, whilst creating the leaders of tomorrow"

ENACTUS UK & IRELAND UA RECOGNITION

Enactus UK & Ireland Certification of Participation

Each active UA in the EUK&I program at the end of the Enactus year will be given an Enactus UK & Ireland UA Certificate of Participation. The certificate is to thank you for your work and support in developing the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders for this Enactus year and for your dedication to helping us create a better more sustainable world for us all.

Enactus UK & Ireland Awards

At the National Expo each year in April, Enactus UK & Ireland awards one university advisor the 'University Advisor of the year award' to celebrate their contribution across the Enactus year. This award recognises those academics and institutional staff who go above and beyond to interact with the Enactus program and to support their Enactus team over the course of the year.

Enactus UK & Ireland UA Steering Group

In 2016 Enactus UK & Ireland set up a University Advisor Steering group to support our programme and to build a more engaged community. The objectives of this group are:

  • To raise the profile of the importance of the University Advisor role.

  • To represent UAs and liaise with Enactus UK & Ireland.

  • To develop a series of events for UAs, including face-to-face training and online webinars.

  • To raise awareness of the resources available for UAs and encourage their use.

  • To encourage the use of our LinkedIn group for discussing relevant topics and sharing good practice.

  • To support Enactus UK & Ireland in achieving full attendance at UK & Ireland events.

We currently have 5 members on the Enactus UK & Ireland UA steering group. If this is something you would be interested in, please reach out to abrereton@enactus.org to discuss next steps.
