Introducing the Unilever Future Leaders’ League (UFLL): a multi-stage competition giving students from across the UK the opportunity to solve real-world brand problems.


The Prizes

All entrants of the Unilever Future Leaders’ League (UFLL) will be entered into a draw to win the grand prize:

• a MacBook Air (2023)

But that’s not all. If you’re lucky enough to be selected as one of the top ten teams, you’ll also have the opportunity to pitch your idea to senior leaders at Unilever at the UK finals day in Unilever HQ. In addition, you and your teammates will be each in with a chance of winning:

• a place at the Global Finals

• an iPad (10th Generation)

• a sustainable Unilever product bundle.


How to Enter

1. Register your details below to get the Brand Challenge

2. Open the confirmation email that includes your invitation to enter UFLL and this year’s Brand Challenge document.

3. As a team of two or three (or as an individual)*, devise an idea for solving the Brand Challenge. The more creative and sustainable, the better!

4. Submit your entry through the Entry Form link in your invitation email, or the button below

5. The top ten entrants (teams or individuals) will be selected in January, and will go on to pitch their idea to Unilever judges in the final!

The UFLL competition opens at 12pm on 23 October 2023 and closes at 4 pm on 15 December 2023.

How the competition works:

  • Register your interest and keep an eye on your inbox for the Brand Challenge document.

    Once you’ve received your official invitation email, work with your teammates (or as an individual)* to devise a solution to this year’s Brand Challenge. We welcome entries that focus on a wide range of functions, including research and development, diversity and inclusion, sustainability and technological innovation.

    Submit your entry via the Submit Entry button or the link in your official invitation email.

    Entries close on 15 December 2023.

  • In January 2024, the judges will shortlist the top ten entrants (teams or individuals). Entrants who are not already in a team of three will be matched up with others at this stage.*

    The top ten teams will have the opportunity to expand on their idea and pitch it to the Unilever judges in February 2024.

    After the judges have made their decision, the second-place team members will each win a Unilever sustainable product bundle.

    The winning team will be selected to represent the UK at the global finals of the Future Leaders League in Summer 2024. They will travel to the host country and compete against students who have won their national rounds from around the world.

    Each member of the winning team will also win an iPad (10th Generation).

*Please note: the winning team that will represent the UK at the Global Finals must be comprised of three members. Therefore if you submit your entry as an individual or in a pair, you will be matched up with others at the finals stage. We encourage you to submit in a team of three where possible.
