General Programme Questions

  • Enactus Spark is a 6-week online programme that helps students develop impactful social enterprise ideas or projects. It’s open to all students across the UK and Ireland, whether they already have an idea or are just starting to think about one.

    Through a structured learning experience based on Enactus’ criteria, you'll learn how to apply design thinking, create sustainable business models, measure your project's impact, and develop a solid plan to create real-world change. The programme concludes with an exciting Dragons' Den-style competition, where you'll pitch your idea to judges for a chance to secure funding and bring your vision to life.

  • The programme is open to students aged 18 or older who are enrolled at a UK or Irish university. You don’t need to be part of an existing Enactus team to join, and no prior experience in social entrepreneurship is required.

  • No! Enactus Spark is designed for students at all stages, whether you already have an idea or are just starting to explore possibilities.

  • The registration deadline is midnight (GMT) on Friday, 31 January 2025.

  • Enactus Action is designed for students who are already enrolled at universities with established Enactus teams (societies). Students from these universities can join to be connected to their team and tap into a supportive network, leverage existing resources, and collaborate with their peers and mentors on ongoing projects. Enactus Action students are also eligible to the pinnacle competiton of the year; the Enactus World Cup Qualifiers.

    Enactus Spark, on the other hand, is geared towards students whose universities don’t yet have an Enactus presence. Spark is a 6-week programme that provides the framework, resources, and guidance needed to turn innovative ideas into action, helping students develop entrepreneurial ventures and establish a new Enactus presence at their university.

Programme Content

  • You'll learn how to apply design thinking principles, create sustainable business models, measure impact, and project planning. The programme also includes guidance on pitching and applying for funding.

  • Any student with an interest in making a positive change, or using business for good regardless of whether they already have an idea or are starting fresh.

    You must be currently studying at a UK or Irish university.

  • No prior experience is needed! The programme is designed to support students at all levels, from beginners to early-stage innovators.

Participation Details

  • The programme typically involves one online session per week, with additional time for project development, depending on your pace.

  • No, the programme is completely FREE for everyone!

    The only cost that you may incur is the travel to London if you are picked as a finalist. However, we may be able to support this if needed it.

  • Yes, you can join as an individual or as part of a team of up to 3.

  • Whilst we strongly recommend attending the sessions to get the most from the experience, we understand that other committments may prevent you from attending some sessions.

    Recordings of the sessions will be made available, so you can catch up on anything you miss.

  • Yes, It is open to International students – you just need to be enrolled at a University based in the UK or Ireland.

    The only small caveat, is that to be eligible for Spark competition funding (should you win any!) students must have a UK or Irish bank account connected to their project. While this is not a requirement to join the programme, it is essential for receiving funding.

  • We’re excited to confirm that the winner of Enactus Spark 2025 will receive £1,000, with second place awarded £500 to help develop their social impact project or enterprise.

  • The top 5 teams or individuals will be selected from the initial pitch submissions to compete in the live final at ExCeL London on 7th April.

  • Even if you don’t make the top 5, participating in Spark gives you access to valuable skills, mentorship, and networking opportunities. You’ll still complete the programme with a project plan, a pitch deck, and a fantastic experience to showcase to employers. Plus, you’ll receive an exclusive digital badge to share on LinkedIn, highlighting your achievement and the skills you’ve gained throughout the programme!
